1975 - July 18, Canada: Native Study Group hosts benefit concert with Willy Dunn

The benefit concert, intended to raise funds to support an audio-visual presentation of the Native Study Groups’ trip to China, is an important marker of solidarity as allies, students, and other local organizations advertise and attend the concert. Some organizations, such as the East Indian Defence Committee, give speeches of support and solidarity.

Dunn, a Mi’kmaq folk singer and activist, performs The Ballad of Crowfoot as part of his setlist.
